on how to
run a
successful
barn dance.

If you are looking for the perfect, all-inclusive entertainment for your wedding, birthday party, anniversary celebration, college ball, office party or conference bash, look no further.

A barn dance (or ceilidh, or country dance – whatever you like to call it) gets everyone involved – male and female of all ages – it's terrific fun for all, and it's a great way to get your party to mix.

The dances range from very simple to quite complex, but with our expert caller on hand to guide you through, no experience is needed to be able to join in to the full.

The Lairds offer Scottish, English or Irish-style country dances (they're all variations on the same basic idea), and also American square dances if you'd like a western-themed event.

Our core of three musicians can be contracted or expanded to suit the size of your event and of your budget. Other instruments could include bass, a second fiddle, mandolin, banjo, flute and percussion. We will be drawing on a pool of exceptionally talented and experienced barn dance musicians.

A band of two musicians (fiddle and accordion or fiddle and guitar, for example) and a caller can be very effective for a smaller venue or a small party — and it's great value for money.

We can supply our own PA to all events.
